Mississippi River XChange
The Mississippi River XChange program provides a systems-learning approach to studying the Mississippi River and sharing discoveries about local river environments using video conferencing technology. MRX aims to connect students to their stretch of the river through a combination of applied classroom activities and out-of-classroom field trips. These common activities provide a platform for students within the Mississippi River Watershed to share their experiences and local knowledge using videoconferencing and social networking forums.
The program culminates in a student summit where students from the river’s headwaters to Gulf exchange information with other participants to reveal a holistic view of the Mississippi River.
